New Cool Spot in the SLC

My friend Jordan had the great idea of getting a light cappucino breakfast at a little corner cafe called Caffe Niche on Wednesday morning. I loved their motif, the food was good, but not a ton to choose from. Our friend Brandon joined us and we talked about alkaline water amongst other things. Jordan is heading up a citizen-based, grass roots movement towards sustainable living. More to come on that!

It was a little chilly on the dog Wednesday morning.

Some Random Thoughts

1. The Salt Lake Real Estate Market is RIPE for investing!!! Motivated sellers, modest price levels, amazing interest rates, and wonderful real estate agents to work with!
2. Hey Hillary Clinton-Hang It Up! Hang It Up! Yes You Can! Yes You Can!
3. When playing his best, there is NO BETTER basketball player in the world than Andrei Kirilenko.
4. Kangen water, or alkaline water, is a major health trend of the future, and will be the foundation of a cancer-free, low-acid, well-balanced, health ethic. Ask me for details!
5. I hereby declare that I am committed to living large and helping others do the same, whatever that means for them. For ME, that means being in abundance, being of service to other human beings and being "in the flow", and THAT means: skiing alot, meditating daily, doing yoga 4-5 times a week, and sharing the wealth of photography, real estate and kangen water with whoever is interested. YOU can count on me for the above.
6. I swear dogs are happy little human-like spirits sent to their dog bodies to make us humans chill out and maximize the love.
7. I am the luckiest guy in the world for alot of reasons, amongst them that I come from an amazing family. I am grateful everyday for the richness of my family, the depth of character of everyone, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, the diversity of personalities, talents and chosen roles on the planet. I love spending time with all of them, and am committed to showing up as a contribution to the greatness of that group of people.
8. Why does it always come down to Ohio and Texas?

Grampa!

I've got the coolest grampa ever, he is in his late 80's and every year he drives from Cincinnati to his brother's house in the mountains of Colorado, then he comes to Salt Lake to visit me, and then on up to Seattle to stay with my Aunt Amy and her family. After a bloody mary at my house, we went to the Red Iguana here in Salt Lake last night for mexican mole, a traditional Mexican sauce served in many flavors on different dishes. Amongst the many things I admire about my Grampa, I so admire the way he engages people in conversation, makes them laugh and charms the socks off of them. I have a wonderful family lineage of courtesy, conscientiousness, concern for my neighbor, and overall enjoyment of life to live into.

Vision Board

Check out my ever-evolving vision board! I am grateful for all these things, present and future! As I visualize these things, I change the vibration of my thoughts so that I become a vibrational match to the things and situations I'm manifesting through desire and intention. Waverunners in Lake Michigan!

8 for 8!

Winning 3 more states last night, Obama is now 8-0 since Super Tuesday. When will Al Gore and John Edwards make this deal final by finally endorsing Barack? Bring on McCain!

Skied 10 out of the last 12 days!

Yesterday, I hiked out of the Alta ski area into the backcountry and hiked for about 4 hours. It was actually a break on my legs which were pretty worked after ALOT of in-bounds, lift-accessed skiing.

Obama Sweeps 3 states and the Virgin Islands!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23068044/
What a facinating evening in a facinating primary season. Tonight, Barack won Washington state (by almost 2 to 1), Nebraska, and Louisiana as well as the 3 delegates from the Virgin Islands! The latest polls show Obama beating McCain in the potential general election by 7 points! The same polls show Hillary and McCain tied. This primary season is the fight for the presidency, it will be decided in Ohio and Texas largely. Obama's raising more money, attracting much larger crowds, and inspiring many first-time activists (yours truly included) into action recently. Momentum seems on our side right now, but there's a long way to go. The GREAT news from my perspective is that the longer people look at Obama, the more they like him. The longer this stays neck-in-neck, the better it favors Obama. "We should never negotiate out of fear, but we should never fear to negotiate"-Obama quoting Kennedy tonight. How's that for the backbone of a foreign policy? He could go head-to-head with McCain on foreign policy all day long. "I have to admit I talk about hope alot, I have to, the chances of me being here were not very good...but lets be clear, this is not blind optimism...I've seen how our country's judgement has been clouded from time-to-time by fear...hope is imagining and fighting for what before didn't seem possible...it is time to shed the cynicism that is too often mistaken for wisdom" He speaks of possibility, of transformation, and for those that criticize his lack of substance, check out his speech tonight where he gets very specific about health care, energy policy, foreign policy, and other issues. He is very specific about being better against McCain, and distinguishes himself clearly from Hillary on multiple issues. Its a good night to be in Obama's corner. I'm holding the feeling of tonight's minor victory and projecting it on to the convention, and later the November general election and inauguration. I'm visualizing..."I, Barack Obama, do solemnly swear to uphold the..." Is that going too far? I'm shedding superstition on this one, and I'm definately not going to be cynical for the sake of being wise or "right" in the end. See, he's already inspired me to clearly rebute cynicism in my thinking, and he's only stopped speaking 8 minutes ago and is still shaking hands. Powerful, inspiring dude, I think he's the bomb. Is he perfect? absolutely not. Could he be more centrist (right) as president than I would like? possibly, but I can live with a balance of pragmatic compromise and visionary leadership that I think he will bring.

Snow More Snow!!!

My friend Alex, painting. Too bad there's no scenery!

The skiing at Alta yesterday was wonderful...very windy all day which kept buffing out the skiing surface and filling in bumps in places. Stonecrusher and Jitterbug in particular were like skiing down the softest, creamiest, steepest groomer. I had the pleasure of skiing a few runs with friends, old and new.

me and friend Tom Truss

My Dad and friend Tom Wussow both bought a Panasonic Lumix 7mp digital camera with a 10x optical zoom at Costco for $250, and I was impressed! So I started this little project this week. I'm calling it the Lumix Project where I will take this little guy everywhere with me and "harvest images" throughout the day and post my favorites. I think Panasonic and Costco should sponsor this, don't you? Anyway, here is a BUNCH from the 1st week, mostly from Alta. As you will see, its been snowy, snowy, snowy!!!
